Alex du Toit Room

This large room, of approximate dimensions 8 metres x 6 metres, is sparsely furnished.

At present it is used by drama and dance groups over the weekends.

It holds a very large mirror, mounted on castors, which is useful for training students of the performing arts.

The room is named after the distinguished geologist Alex du Toit, one of the pioneers of South African geological science and an important contributor to the theory of plate tectonics.  His portrait is displayed on the wall.
